The most thorough dental exam & consultation you will receive
Although we are very good at managing your dental emergencies efficiently and effectively, we also pride ourselves in providing comprehensive general dentistry with excellence. And this begins with our comprehensive exam process, which involves two visits.
The first visit is the data collection. We will begin with a conversation by listening to your dental concerns and goals, and assess your medical & dental history and its relevance to your dental health. We also evaluate your diet, oral hygiene routines, habits, & lifestyle to assess your risks and causative factors related to the dental problems, so we can also manage the causes of your dental problems where possible, to prevent the same problems from arising in the future.
Then we will have a thorough examination of your mouth including teeth, gums, bite relationships, jaw joints & muscles, with complimentary full imaging which include full set of photographs and X-rays. The first appointment would end with brief explanation of the initial findings and possible treatment needs. Then the dentist would spend time to analyse the collected information to make diagnosis and develop a number of treatment plan options to discuss in the following complimentary visit.
Your second visit is about discussing the findings and treatment plan options. Your dentist would take time to explain the present dental problems and their possible causes, and their likely consequences. We will also discuss various treatment plan options catered to your specific needs, fully letting you know of their benefits, limitations, risks, and costs, so you are able to make an informed decision about your dental treatments.
Once you decide and consent to a treatment plan, then appointments will be scheduled accordingly to the treatment plan, which usually starts with oral hygiene therapy.
The outcome of this process is that we maximise the opportunity for you to be offered a well thought-through dental management plan, no matter how big or small, so the course of your dental treatment and future dental care goes smooth-sailing.
A routine continuing care apppointment is a procedure that involves a dentist/ hygienist checking the health and condition of your teeth and gums, and then scaling and polishing them to remove plaque and tartar. During the examination your dentist will check your teeth, gums, tongue, and jaw for cavities, plaque, tartar, and other issues. They may also take X-rays to check for decay between your teeth. Your Hygienist will use an ultrasonic tool to remove plaque and tartar from your teeth, above and below the gumline. They may also polish your teeth to remove stains. Regular dental examinations and cleanings are important for maintaining your oral health and preventing dental problems. They can also help detect early signs of more serious health issues.
Preventive dentistry is a proactive approach to dental care. It can help prevent cavities, gum disease, worn enamel, and tooth sensitivity. It can also help you avoid the need for major dental interventions, such as fillings and extractions. Preventive treatments include tooth sealants and fluoride treatment, diet assessments and thorough examinations. Your oral health is closely connected to the rest of your body so maintaining a clean and healthy mouth benefits your overall health and wellbeing.
